Use This Cheap Tip “Push the Pedal” From Andrew Moreno And You Can Win Millions

How should players prep for the WSOP grind?

Great question. One thing that can help most players is getting some online volume, even low-stakes stuff, before heading to the series. Get used to showing up, busting tournaments, getting back in there, and playing your best game online. You can also do it at a very low price point online.

You can track your hands and make sure you’re playing well. Also, be very intentional while playing. What I mean by that is paying close attention to your body and mind. And, of course, don’t allow yourself to play when you’re not in the right state of mind.

I will take really good care of myself for the months and days leading up to the series, both emotionally and physically.  Because I think you get worn down going into the series. Your body gets worn downyour health gets worn down, and your emotions get worn down.

I plan to come into the series with a full cup. My body will be in tip-top shape, my spirits will be high, and I will nurture all that. I know each aspect of myself will get attacked daily during the series.

The best way for me to prepare is to start the series as full and rested as possible.

What event are you most looking forward to playing?

For some reason, it’s always the Monster Stack. I made a deep run in the Monster Stack one year and loved that tournament. It’s easy to say something like the WSOP Main Event, but the thing about that tournament is there’s always so much pressure. It’s always at the end of the summer. It feels like the Main Event is make or break.

The Monster Stack feels much more low-pressure. It’s also a great structure. It’s just a tournament I enjoy playing.

What is the biggest event you will play?

I’ll probably play the $25K 6-Max event and a couple of other $25Ks. If I do well in those, I may take a shot at my first $50K. I like to be open in terms of how things are going. I potentially like to push the pedal down a bit. So, I would like to leave that open with the possibility of a bigger buy-in, depending on whether things go well.
