First Time in Full Length: Lewandowski’s 9-Minute Miracle
This blog post is about a football game between Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg played on September 21st, 2016. The game was completely turned around by a hat-trick from Robert Lewandowski within 10 minutes.
The first half of the game was scoreless. Bayern Munich subbed Lewandowski in at halftime, and he scored three goals in quick succession to give his team the lead. Wolfsburg almost equalized with a shot from Gila Vogt, but Neuer saved it. Thomas Muller then had a shot that hit the post, but Lewandowski followed up to put the ball in the net for his third goal.
Lewandowski scored two more goals later in the game, bringing his total to five. This was the fastest hat-trick in Bundesliga history. The final score was 5-1 to Bayern Munich. This win was important for Bayern Munich as they prepare for upcoming Champions League games.
