Royal expert Kinsley Schofield made the controversial opinion that the late Lady Diana would have wished her son married his former girlfriend Chelsy Davy rather than the Duchess of Sussex.
Princess Diana would have preferred her youngest son Prince Harry to have married one of his previous girlfriends instead of Meghan Markle, according to one royal expert. who believes she “wouldn’t have been around” if Diana was still here.
In an interview earlier this month, royal commentator Kinsley Schofield claimed that the Duke of Sussex’s late mother would have “clashed” with Meghan – who “wouldn’t have been around” if Diana was still here.
Schofield also claimed Diana would have preferred ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Speaking to GBNews, she said: “I don’t think Meghan Markle would be around if Diana were still here. They might have butted heads. I think they might have clashed.
“I think Harry would have married one of those beautiful, young women he was dating earlier in his life, like Chelsy Davy.”
Harry dated Zimbabwean businesswoman Chelsy from 2004 to 2011. He recently claimed in a court case that the romance came to an end after issues due to “the prying eyes of tabloids”.
Harry claimed the tabloids have tried to break up his relationships over the years including his current marriage with Meghan Markle. The Duke told the High Court that the media’s “twisted objective” to destroy his relationships has continued to this day despite the fact he is now married with two children.
The King’s youngest son, who tied the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018, claimed he has always tried to a supportive partner in his relationships but stated that “every woman has her limit”.

“We were never on our own and able to enjoy each other’s company away from the prying eyes of the tabloids,” he said in a 55-page witness statement obtained by The Independent. “This put a huge amount of unnecessary stress and strain on our relationship.”
He continued: “At no point did I have a girlfriend or a relationship with anyone without the tabloids getting involved and ultimately trying to ruin it using whatever unlawful means at their disposal.”
Schofield added that Diana would have been Harry and Prince William’s guide to dating if she was alive, saying: “She [Diana] would have shown them how to navigate the extreme media attention given to them.”
