It’s a characteristic commonly associated with her often-cheeky younger brother, Prince Louis.

But today it became clear where the six-year-old royal gets his flair of dramatics, after Princess Charlotte put on a scene-stealing display of emotions at Wimbledon this afternoon.

The young royal, nine, joined her mother, the Princess of Wales, in the Royal Box this afternoon to watch Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic in the Grand Slam at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, London.

The nine-year-old royal winced, cheered, and beamed, as she watched the players compete for the prestigious title.

Despite her wearing a pair of £90 pink Ray Ban sunglasses, Charlotte’s emotions throughout the game, from her jubilant grins to intrigued glances and awkward shudders, remained crystal clear.

Charlotte, nine, looked adorable in a £70 blue chiffon polka dress from Guess and she tied her hair back with a bow.

Kate and Charlotte looked every inch the trendy mother-daughter duo, as they watched the action sporting stylish sunglasses.

But unlike her daughter, the Princess of Wales maintained a straight, concentrated expression as she watched the tense action.

Before taking her seat in the Royal Box, Princess Charlotte appeared delighted to meet Emma Radacanu at Wimbledon today.

The mother-daughter duo met with female tennis stars, including 21-year-old Emma Radacanu, who all presented Kate with a bouquet of flowers.

Charlotte grinned from ear to ear as she met with the tennis star, who sadly saw her Wimbledon dream crushed on Centre Court by New Zealand qualifier Lulu Sun last week.

The daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales was nonetheless thrilled to meet the tennis star, and was photographed smiling ear to ear in her presence.

The Princess of Wales was greeted with a standing ovation as she headed into the Royal Box at Wimbledon today.

Kate, 42, who has stepped away from public royal duties while undergoing cancer treatment, is set to watch Carlos Alcaraz take on Novak Djokovic in the Grand Slam final.

Joined by daughter Princess Charlotte, nine, and her sister Pippa Middleton the future queen was greeted with applause making her second public appearance of the year. Princ

They were without Prince George, ten, perhaps indicating he will join his father at the Euros final in Berlin this evening.

The royal, who opted for a £1295 purple dress from Safiyaa, is a huge tennis fan and has been patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club since 2016.

She was seen today chatting to female players ahead of the final day of play at SW19.

She often presents the trophy to the Ladies Singles winner, however this year attended the tournament on the final day instead.

Kate took to social media and penned: ‘An incredible Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud Andy Murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C,’ Kate said in personally-signed message on X.

Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton also attended this week, making her first appearance since her sister the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis on Friday.

Looking effortlessly elegant in a stylish floral jumpsuit from Claire Mischevani, she attended day 12 of Wimbledon on Friday.

Elsewhere, Pippa and Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton appeared in good spirits as they enjoyed watching the action from the Royal Box last week.

The couple also appeared very focused as they took in the second round match between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Britain’s Jacob Fearnley.

Both also laughed as they chatted with other attendees, including Sebastian Coe, the President of the International Association of Athletics Federations, who was seen sharing a giggle with an animated Carole.

Dressed in all their finery, the beaming couple looked in good spirits as they arrived side-by-side for the prestigious event in London.

It follows their cheerful appearance at Royal Ascot last month, when they joined members of the Royal Family, including their son-in-law Prince William, at the lavish occasion.

Last year, Kate entered the Royal Box where she watched as her close friend Roger Federer was honoured in a special ceremony at the club.

In a clip shared last year by Kensington Palace on their YouTube channel the pair played a doubles match on No3 Court – where Federer won his first match on the way to taking his first Wimbledon title 20 years ago – to highlight the work of ball boys and girls at the tournament.

Kate managed to get a shot past the Swiss star, prompting him to exclaim: ‘I think it was on the line. Amazing!’

However, the Princess also took the opportunity to try to get some sneaky coaching advice from the former world No1.

‘Any tips on my serve at the same time would be very helpful,’ she said. But Federer replied only with a compliment, saying: ‘The serve looks good.’

Keen tennis player Kate said: ‘Wimbledon is renowned for its amazingly professional ball boys and ball girls.

‘The amount of work it takes, it’s incredible to see it behind the scenes.’ She then said: ‘It’s so good to see you, Roger,’ before walking on to the court for their match.
