On April 28, subscribers to the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform were delighted to discover the first season of Citadel. The opportunity to find Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jones in the roles of Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, two spies who must reconstruct their past after being left for dead during a mission in Italy.

And if the series has been much talked about, it is also because of a very daring joke about Kate Middleton. In the third episode of the program, which aired on May 5, Mason Kane asked another character, Balduino Basto, to help him enter the office of the head of the armed forces.

During the sequence, Nadia then reacted with a joke that did not go unnoticed: “The head of the armed forces? You might as well ask me how to get between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge.”

To find out more about this joke referring to the Princess of Wales, Page Six revealed that it contacted “a representative of Amazon Prime Video”, but also “the press officer” of Priyanka Chopra Jones. However, both have yet to respond.
