KATIE Price has been slammed by fans who complained she was comparing herself to Princess Diana.

The former glamour model, 44, posted a new photo over the weekend that saw her modelling a Ralph Lauren jumper.

Katie’s throwback snap saw the star with dark locks while smiling away in a bright pink outfit.

Next to her photo sat a picture of the late Princess Diana, who also wore the designer label in the form of a light pink shirt.

Katie wrote as the caption: “Love this,” while tagging the Saatchi Gallery.

It appears that Katie’s photo can be found in London’s Saatchi Gallery, which presents contemporary art exhibitions.

Princess Diana died in the early hours of August 31, 1997 – at the entrance of the Pont de l’Ama tunnel, close to Malar fire station in Paris.

She died from injuries sustained in the car accident.

Despite not comparing herself to the late princess in the post, some fans were furious.

One wrote: “What a absolute insult to princess Diana’s memory,” while a second said: “Diana was classy, and an inspiration, not even in the same league.”

A third person penned: “Don’t ever compare yourself to Diana. You are nothing like her.”

And a fourth said: “This is a mockery to the real queen Diana.”

After the scathing comments by trolls, others were quick to jump to Katie’s defence.

One said: “How’s it an insult to Diana you fools ! It’s a homage to Ralph Lauren, nothing to do with Comparing the two..if your going to comment at least do your research first !!”

And a second added: “pricey cant win no matter what she says or does i think even KP will no there is no comparrison between her and Diana always someone moaning and going on.”

It comes after the mum-of-five confirmed her romance with Carl Woods is back on.

The on-off couple have kept fans on their toes lately – but reconciled earlier this month in time to head off on holiday with Katie’s son Harvey, 20.

The pair also headed to the Vardy v Rooney: The Wagatha Christie Trial gala night in London ahead of its debut in the West End.

Katie kept it casual in brown designer jogging bottoms, which she paired with a lace trim black top for the event.

She let her brunette locks flow down her chest as she opted for a minimal make-up look for the glamorous night out.

The star completed her look by covering up with a black leather jacket, as she clutched a designer bag and stood tall in heeled boots.

The former glamour model was seen leaving the event with her on-off beau Carl, who wore a black jumper and black jeans.
