These royal afternoon tea delights are just chef’s kiss.

Queen Elizabeth II’s former private chef, Darren McGrady, has spilled the tea on the monarch’s favorite meals for a midafternoon siesta — and, apparently, it’s the same thing she’s been eating since childhood.

McGrady, who worked for the 96-year-old royal for about 15 years, revealed the foods she has eaten almost every day since she was a little girl.

The cook, 62, claimed on his YouTube channel in a resurfaced video that the royal loves to munch on jam sandwiches during high teatime.

“The queen was served jam pennies in the nursery as a little girl. She’s had them for afternoon tea ever since,” McGrady said.

When the queen spends time at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, fresh strawberries are picked from the garden and used for the jelly spread.

Butter and jam make up the delicacy and are cut into small circles the size of an old British penny.

As for scones topped with sweet jelly, the sovereign is also a fan of adding clotted cream. But she’s quite specific about the order in which her toppings are added.

“The queen was always jam first,” he said in a separate video. “The jam went on followed by that delicious, clotted cream.”

She’s also incredibly fond of berries, but they must be fresh.

“The queen would eat strawberries three or four nights a week in Balmoral if they were in season,” he noted, joking that anyone who tried to give her out-of-season berries would be “off with your head.”

He also divulged a few of his recipes that the royals have for afternoon tea, such as a gin drink, and his process for making the perfect cucumber sandwiches.

The Palace would not comment on the queen’s sandwich preferences to the Associated Press.

“It’s no secret that the queen is a lover of gin,” he stated, adding that she is also a drinker of the gin-based cocktail Pimm’s Royale.

The beverage involves mixing one part Pimm’s Gin and two to three parts Sprite or lemonade, as well as lemons, strawberries, mint, cherries, cucumbers and borage (starflower).

“Some members of the royal family measure it the other way around, but I’m not saying who they are,” McGrady cheekily joked in regard to the amount of juice-to-gin ratio.

As for the iconic finger sandwiches, he advised eaters to use the cucumber flesh, not the skin, for the miniature subs.

He spreads spearmint-enhanced cream cheese on both slices of bread and then layers the cucumber slices.

“Dainty, delicate and delicious,” McGrady gushed. ”It’s the definition of afternoon tea,” he said.

Another popular sandwich the queen eats for her afternoon snack includes tomato and cheese canapé. After smearing both sides of the bread with salted butter, he added tomato and shredded Sage Darby cheese — one of Britain’s oldest cow cheeses.

And, of course, the queen can’t forget about dessert! According to the chef, she loves to dine on strawberries and cream for her garden parties.

McGrady once mentioned to Travel+Leisure magazine that the queen knocks back four drinks daily.

She loves to gulp down gin and Dubonnet cocktail with lemon and ice. Sometimes, she’ll even unwind after hours with a dry martini and a glass of Champagne.
