Meghan Markle has raised eyebrows following her latest product launch for her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

Ms Markle on Saturday revealed that she was working on a new line of dog treats as well as a new jam for her lifestyle brand. just hours before the Trooping the Colour Parade.

The Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers criticised the surprise announcement.

“The announcement was a bit of poor timing I think, because it was just coinciding with the King’s birthday,” Mr Myers said.

“Meghan is trying to launch this business while piggybacking on sort of the PR of the royal family.”

In the contrast, The Princess of Wales made a triumphant return to public life for the first time in six months on Saturday, attending Trooping the Colour to celebrate the King’s birthday.

Kate appeared in high spirits, joking with Charles and supported by her husband and three children, as they all took to the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the traditional flypast.
