Meeting your partner’s family can be an anxious experience; especially if they are the British Royal Family. However, luckily for Meghan Markle, the late Queen was fond of her and keen to make her feel welcome.

When Harry and Meghan became engaged she was plunged into the world of being a royal-in-training. The Queen understood that adjusting to royal life could be difficult and described it as ‘jolty’ but easy to get used to.

Eager to get Meghan up to speed, she advised the Duchess to turn to Sophie (Duchess of Edinburgh). But Meghan reportedly replied: “I’ve got Harry.”
