On July 9, Billboard shared a tweet where they referred to both the news of Lisa’s huge news about performing at the Global Citizen Festival and also spoke about Jennie apologizing for vaping in a deleted clip from her recent vlog.

They were two big pieces of news regarding the members, and the outlet chose to combine them to create a tweet for their news.

The comments seemed to have started a “fanwar” between Lisa and Jennie’s fans, using the headline and tweet to insult and negativity toward the other members and fans.

After seeing what was going on in the comments, BLINKs called out Billboard for their “unprofessionalism.” In particular, the outlet was slated for seemingly pitting two female artists against each other by creating a tweet where Lisa and Jennie’s news is very different, rather than putting them separately.

While it’s not uncommon to combine news pieces for social media, fans think it was not right to do it with such contrasting information, with one being a celebration of Lisa’s announcement and the other news that saw Jennie face a lot of criticism.
