An expert has claimed Queen Camilla is the royal who is most like the late Queen Elizabeth II – and has been regarded as a great figure for fellow members of the Firm to look up to.
Speaking ahead of Her Majesty’s 77th birthday, the expert believes Queen Camilla has “resilience” and “fearlessness” which were also traits of the late Queen.
Body language expert, Darren Stanton on behalf of Betfair said: “Camilla seems to be the most similar to the late Queen out of every member of the Royal Family. In terms of her levels of respect for Royal protocols and how she carries herself, Camilla is seen as a very important member.”
He added: “She is Charles’s closest confidante, rock, and a great figure for the Royals to follow. It’s clear from when she is interacting and being out and about with various members of the Royal family, she is highly respected. This is demonstrated through the likes of Prince William and Princess Anne reciprocating her body gestures and letting her take the lead from time to time.”
He also added how Camilla shows no signs of “nervousness” or “feeling out of place” and shows up whenever duty calls.
Queen Camilla has shown she is a beacon of stability throughout the health issues the Royal Family have faced this year. While both Princess Kate and King Charles were undergoing treatment at The London Clinic in the UK’s capital earlier this year, Queen Camilla showed her strength as she continued to attend public royal engagements.
Queen Camilla has been previously described as the King’s “rock” by her sister, Annabel Elliot, who gave her view of their marriage for a BBC documentary titled ‘Charles III: The Coronation Year.’
Ms Elliot said: “She is his rock and I can’t actually emphasise that enough. She is somebody who is completely loyal, and she isn’t somebody who has huge highs and lows.”
While the King was in hospital following his prostate surgery, Camilla was also by his side. A source close to the Royal Family at the time told the Mirror: “The Queen has been remarkable.”
She added: “While her husband has been in hospital, she was by his side and also making sure she didn’t neglect her own duties. She doesn’t want to let anyone down. She is 76 and one of the hardest-working members of the family. She never complains, she just gets on with it.”
Meanwhile, Queen Camilla will be celebrating her 77th birthday on Wednesday, July 17 and is set to be “spoilt” rotten by her husband, King Charles, according to a former royal butler.
Although Wednesday is set to be a busy day for the royal couple, as Charles prepares for his second King’s speech at the State Opening of Parliament, they are likely going to celebrate “privately” with a party at Clarence House later in the day, it has been claimed.
Paul Burrell, who used to be a former footman to Queen Elizabeth and butler to Princess Diana, revealed what tomorrow’s celebrations might look like for the couple.
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Mr Burrell suggested that Charles might take Camilla to one of the royals’ “favourite” places to dine out, The Ritz.
He said: “I think privately, the King will give her a party at Clarence House or Birkhall and they’ll have people go up to Scotland. He likes to give her jewellery. I think he’ll give her something special. He may have had something commissioned for a birthday.”
