Kocaeli Haber- Başrolünü Çağatay Ulusoy, Emir Ali Doğrul ve Ersin Arıcı’nın paylaştığı ‘Kağıttan Hayatlar’ Türk yapım drama filmi mahkemelik olmuştu. 2021 senesinde yayınlanan Can Ulkay’ın yönettiği film için, yönetmen Temel Arda Karslı 2018 yılında Youtube’da fragmanını yayınladığı ‘Kara’ isimli film ile arasında benzerlik olduğunu iddia ederek İstanbul Fikri Sınai Hukuk Mahkemesi’ne başvurdu.
Karslı, filmin senaristi Ercan Mehmet Erdem, yapım şirketi, yayınlandığı dijital platforma eserin intihal (aşırma) yoluyla izinsiz kullanıldığını öne sürerek dava açmıştı.
‘Kara’ ile ‘Kağıttan Hayatlar’ filmlerinin objektif unsur bakımından özgünlük taşıdıkları, her iki eser arasında sadece mekânsal benzerliklerin ve ana karakterin mesleği olarak kağıt toplayıcılığı işinin bulunduğu belirtildi. İki eserin de ayrı ayrı özgünlük taşıdığı, filmler arasında benzerlik bulunmadığı kaydedildi.
