In high school, LA Tenorio played basketball for San Beda College. Tenorio played basketball in college with Ateneo de Manila University and started playing professionally in 2006.
Tenorio played for the San Miguel Beermen during 2006-2008 as well as the Alaska Aces (PBA) in 2008-2012. Later, Tenorio played for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel throughout 2012-present.
