A TOTAL of 48 players led by Justine Baltazar were selected in the PBA Season 49 Draft held on Sunday at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
Baltazar, as expected, was the headliner by being picked first overall by Converge to officially be part of the PBA after spending a couple of years in the Japan B.League and MPBL.

Baltazar, however, is expected to finish out his contract with his MPBL team Pampanga Giant Lanterns before joining the FiberXers.
Other notables include Sedrick Barefield for Blackwater at No. 2 then RJ Abarrientos taken No. 3 by Barangay Ginebra.
From the initial 70 players, the final list of approved draftees went down to 67 after Franz Diaz, Francis Patricio, and Marko Villaronte, the oldest player who applied at 39 years old, got dropped.
