In a recent chat with the publication, celebrity stylist and fashion expert, Leroy Dawkins, shed light on whether The Princess of Wales ‘ shift towards a more daring wardrobe has been influenced by Queen Elizabeth II. He noted that many Royal observers have picked up on the fact that the Princess of Wales often opts for monochromatic outfits, and there could be several reasons behind this choice, reports OK!.

The trend of tone-on-tone dressing, also known as easy dressing, might be particularly appealing to the princess given her recent health issues and the demands of being a mother to three young children. Even with the help of a stylist, sticking to one colour – like the purple dress she recently sported at the Wimbledon final – is a simple and hassle-free way to dress that still looks put together and stands out.

Leroy suggested that the princess might be revamping her wardrobe in preparation for her future role as Queen, taking style cues from the late Queen Elizabeth II who also preferred single-colour ensembles due to her busy schedule as a working mother and monarch.

While the princess often gravitates towards colours like blue and prioritises coordinating her three young children at public events, Leroy emphasised that there is a deeper meaning behind all of her sartorial choices.
