10 Cars MrBeast Gave Away in Sydney and How Much They’re Actually Worth
We were lucky enough to be in the audience at the MrBeast giveaway at the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday and watch fans throw footballs to win 1 of 10 cars the YouTube star gave away. The prizes included a Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 valued at around $400,000, two Teslas, a supercharged Ford Mustang, and a Toyota Hiace Van with a Scooby Doo Mystery Van livery. We’re detailing all the cars and how much they’re worth below.
10 Cars MrBeast Gave Away in Sydney
To enter, fans had to purchase one of MrBeast’s new Feastables chocolate bars now available in Woolworths. Spoiler alert, they’re average at best, and taste like a large version of the $1 Bertie Beetle you used to buy in showbags at the Royal Australian Easter Show. Once purchased, fans had to upload an image of their receipt to enter the sweepstakes competition.
Here’s a closer look at all the cars below, including a video of the person who won the Lamborghini, as filmed by Man of Many.
1. 2015 Lamborghini Huracan
Value: from AU$360,000
Price when new: from AU$428,000
The first customer deliveries of the Lamborghini Huracan began in 2015, so it’s likely the Lamborghini that MrBeast gave away at the Sydney Opera House was an early car. Originally priced from $428,000 in Australia, they were only available in LP610-4 specification at the time. The 5.2-litre V10 engine produces 449 kW of power and 560 Nm of torque which is good for a 0-100km/h time of 3.2 seconds. Now a nearly 10-year-old vehicle, these cars were made to be driven, and you’ll struggle to find one with low KMs in Australia. As such, most sit around the 30,000km mark and fetch upwards of AU$360,000 on the second-hand car market in Australia. However, we have seen low KM examples with rare options fetch up to the $440,000 mark that MrBeast claimed.
2. 2020 Ford Mustang R Spec
Market value: from AU$97,990
Price when new: from AU$99,980
One of the rarest and most valuable Ford Mustang models ever offered to the Australian market with only 500 ever produced. The 2020 Ford Mustang R Spec that MrBeast gave away is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine supercharged in Australia to produce 522 kW of power. That’s good for a 0-100km/h time of around 4.6 seconds range (if you can get traction). Here in Lime Green, these models are only available with a six-speed manual transmission making it even more driver-focused and desirable.
3. 2013 Mercedes SL350 Convertible
Market value: from AU$67,990
Price when new: from AU$225,000
One of the strangest choices for the MrBeast giveaway at the Sydney Opera House was this 11-year-old Mercedes-Benz convertible. This SL350 is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine that produces 225kW of power and 370 NM of torque which is good for a 0-100km/h time of 5.9 seconds. It’s quite hard to believe, but this car was priced from $225,000 plus on-road costs when it was first sold in Australia and the bigger V8-powered Mercedes-Benz SL500 was $304,500.
4. 2021 BMW 520i
Market value: from AU$59,900
Price when new: from AU$99,900
The most sensible of all the giveaway cars, the 2021 BMW 520i, was the first of the ‘LCI’ or facelift 5-series models released in Australia. It’s powered by a small but mighty 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 135kW of power and 290NM of torque. These are available on the market from around AU$59,900, but expect to pay closer to $75,000 if you want an example with low KMs.
5. 2017 Porsche Macan
Market value: from AU$50,000
Price when new: from AU$80,110
Now powered exclusively by electric power only in Australia, the Porsche Macan in question is an earlier 2017 model that was available with a choice of powertrains, including a 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in the Macan S that produced 250 kW of power and 460 Nm of torque. It’s unclear which model MrBeast gave away at the Sydney Opera House, however, the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol or diesel is more likely as they’re well within budget at around the $50-60,000 mark for a quality example.
6. 2015 Tesla Model S
Market value: from AU$55,000
Price when new: from AU$197,738
We’re not sure who would want to drive around in a nearly 10-year-old Tesla with the thought of imminent battery replacement costs constantly on their mind, but one lucky winner got to take this 2015 Tesla Model S home. Valued around AU$50-60,000 on the second-hand car market in Australia, it seems red was a rare production colour with only a few available. It’s unclear which specification MrBeast gave away. However, assuming it was the most expensive version available, the P90D, it would produce 376 kW of power and 967 Nm of torque, which is good for a 0-100km/h time of 3.3 seconds.
7. 2020 Tesla Model 3
Market value: from AU$36,000
Price when new: from AU$66,000
Considering you can now buy a brand-new Tesla Model 3 for around $54,000 plus on-roads in Australia, owning a Tesla is no longer out of arms reach. However, what hasn’t changed is the younger- generation’s enthusiasm for these vehicles, and it seems MrBeast can’t help but include a Tesla Model 3 in the mix of a giveaway. This particular vehicle is a Standard range Plus model which offered up to 415km of WLTP range when new and 190 kW of power from a single electric motor mounted at the rear. That’s good for a 0-100km/h time of 5.6 seconds.
8. 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan
Market value: from AU$22,000
Price when new: from AU$99,980
Rather hilariously, multiple outlets are reporting that the Volkswagen Tiguan MrBeast giveaway is a 2014 model but this is false. This Jurassic-Park-wrapped vehicle is actually a 2017 or newer model and sports the R-Line package designated by its unique front bumper design, headlights, and ‘R-Line’ badging around the vehicle. It’s powered by either a 2.0-litre turbo petrol or diesel engine. The cheapest we’ve around this car online is $22,000, but you would expect to pay up to $45,000 for a quality example with low KMs. Most white models are hovering around the $28,000 mark.
9. 2010 Toyota Hiace
Market value: from AU$8,990
Price when new: from AU$39,840
No matter the van, wrapping it in a Scooby Doo Mystery Van livery will always be cool, and that’s the case with this MrBeast giveaway vehicle. It might only be worth a few thousand dollars in its current condition, but the livery will add some value, too.
10. 1997 Volvo S70 Sedan
Market value: from AU$6,500
Price when new: from AU$74,500
Similarly, this 1997 Volvo S70 Sedan will likely become a collector item with LazarBeam’s face covering the entire vehicle. When we were at the giveaway event at the Sydney Opera House, MrBeast offered to give the dad (legal guardian over his daughter who won) $30,000 to walk away with the cash, but he wouldn’t do it.
